CHARLES L. BAUM

CHARLES L. BAUM is a professor of economics at Middle Tennessee State University, where he has taught since 1999. Baum received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill earlier that year. He earned a B.A. in economics from Wake Forest University in 1995. From 2008 to 2014, he served as chairman of the Department of Economics and Finance.

Baums research has been published or cited in economics journals (e.g., Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, and Journal of Legal Economics), professional journals (e.g., Tennessee Bar Journal, Georgia Bar Journal, and Birmingham Bar Bulletin), and the news (e.g., Bloomberg BusinessWeek, U.S. News and World Report, and the New York Times).

Baum is a member of the National Association of Forensic Economists (NAFE) and the American Academy of Economic and Financial Experts (AAEFE), and he has served as an economics expert for plaintiffs and defendants in numerous cases around the southeastern United States.
