KIMBERLY C. SWAFFORD is an Assistant United States Trustee with the Department of Justice for Region 8, which serves the bankruptcy system for the federal judicial districts established for the Districts of Tennessee and Kentucky.  She has been with the United States Trustee Program for 28 years. She previously served as the Assistant United States Trustee for the Middle District of Tennessee.  She was an eleven year board member and a Past President of the Mid-South Commercial Law Institute.  Ms. Swafford received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.  She earned her law degree from the University of Tennessee, where she was a member and associate editor of the Tennessee Law Review.
