Candice Reed

CANDICE REED currently serves as Executive Vice President of Latitude and is the Partner in Charge of its Tennessee operations. Latitude is a Chambers-ranked, full-service flexible legal talent company, headquartered in Nashville, that specializes in providing highly skilled former in-house counsel and Big Law attorneys for contract engagements and permanent positions with corporate legal departments and law firms nationwide. Candice also is an Adjunct Professor at The University of Tennessee College of Law, where she teaches an upper-level course on Thriving as a Lawyer and sits on the Advisory Board for the Institute for Professional Leadership. She co-hosts the podcast, Leveraging Latitude: Cultivating a Full Life in the Law. Candice previously served as Chief Ethics Officer and in-house legal counsel at Ceridian Corporation and Comdata, where she oversaw operational ethics compliance worldwide. She began her legal career at Miller & Martin PLLC, where she practiced business litigation and commercial bankruptcy law. Candice has extensive experience as a business executive, legal recruiter, trainer and coach for lawyers and their organizations and is a frequent speaker and CLE presenter on topics such as attorney wellbeing, professional development and leadership, workplace engagement, and career satisfaction and transition. She is a double graduate from The University of Tennessee, earning her J.D. from UT College of Law in 2000, and was among the nation’s first lawyers to obtain a Master of Applied Positive Psychology (M.A.P.P.) degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009. Candice is a Nashville Bar Association Fellow and former NBA YLD Board Member, a TBA member and TBA YLD Fellow, and former President of Nashville’s Lawyers’ Association for Women (LAW). She also is a former Board Member and now serves on the Advisory Board for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Nashville and co-chaired Dancing for Safe Haven, the largest annual fundraiser to benefit Safe Haven Family Shelter, in 2022 and 2023.
